!!!ADVANCED HIKERS ONLY !!!

-If it rains Saturday, we will NOT meet at 6:30 a.m. at Indian Canyon on Soledad. Instead, we will meet at 7:00 a.m. at Bear Divide on Sand Canyon. We will "hike" on a service road to the Magic Mountain structure and return the same way, making this a moderate hike of 12 miles (round trip). Bring 2 liters of water.

If it does NOT rain Saturday, we will meet at Indian Canyon Trailhead (6:30am) on Soledad Canyon Rd (which is our terminus)., we will leave some cars there and carpool to Bear Divide Vista where our trailhead will be on the east side of Sand Canyon at a locked gate (3N17), which we will start our hike on at 7:am.

( Those who wish to hike "out-and-back" to Magic Mountain only, this will be a 12 mile round trip, rated as "Moderate" and can meet us at Bear Divide Vista at 7am )

As we begin our ascent on Santa Clara Divide Road, we'll visit Garfield Benchmark (3838), Magic Mountain (4878), peak 4824, Cub BM (4498), peak 4705 (Highest point in the Magic Mountain Wilderness), Snow BM (4949), Vista Point, Indian BM (4542), and break for lunch at North Fork Saddle Trailcamp (4210). After we're done with our concentrated ipa, we'll take the Pacific Crest Trail down to Indian Canyon trailhead, where we left some cars at 6:30am. -BRING 3 LITERS OR MORE OF WATER-

DIRECTIONS: 210 west, 5 north, 14 north, exit Soledad Canyon Rd.

Turn RIGHT on Soledad Canyon Rd. and drive 7.4 miles.

Turn RIGHT on Indian Canyon Rd. & park.

Please arrive on time for we will NOT wait for late comers. Bring the 10 essentials, your own map & compass, enough water, electrolytes, and food as well as the proper gear and clothing. Know your limits. We will be hiking at a fast pace between 2 to 3 miles an hour. You are responsible for your own decisions and there will be NO sweepers. This is an advanced hike and we will NOT slow down if you are a beginner or intermediate hiker. There will be other hikes in this club that will be intermediate and even less beginners ones. I suggest to hike with other clubs to build up speed, stamina, and knowledge resulting in a more pleasant outdoor experience and minimizing the risk factors. If you rsvp and cannot make it, please change your rsvp or you will be kicked out of the club.
