Hello and Welcome!!
If you wish to learn how to communicate with the deaf or just would like to learn a 2nd language and/or if you have a Baby and you would like to learn "Baby Sign Language", this is the group for you!
Baby Sign Language is so amazing to teach your baby! My son signed until he could talk really well and it was a very helpful way to communicate, without all the tantrums. Your child will be able to express such thoughts as, milk, hungry, more, all done, food, eat, animal signs, songs like "twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and much more!
I am offering private or group lessons for Adults and/or Children wanting to learn Sign Language and for Moms and Babies wanting to learn to communicate in Baby Sign Language. I have had a difficult time setting up classes because of everybody's different time schedules. If I find that a few of you can attend a class at the same time, then I will make it a group class.
When you learn to sign and have the ability to communicate without saying a word, while actually "saying" everything it is such an amazing feeling. Being able to communicate with the deaf is something that I fully enjoy and look forward to sharing with you!
Just to let you know my background, I was an Interpreter for over 9 years in colleges, like Santa Monica College and Los Angeles City College, and also freelance, as well as working with the deaf/blind using tactile interpreting. I have also taught classes in the past and excited to do it again.
I am working out my fee schedule right now and is different depending on how many classes you are wanting to take, depending on your Sign Language Communication goal.
I really am excited to meet everyone and to teach you an absolutely beautiful language!
