We mainly explore the San Francisco Bay Area’s many hiking trails, but we also keep our eyes open for other outings such as free summer concerts (Stern Grove anyone?) and the occasional jazz club... and likely more. The hikes are 6-10 miles long and are of an advanced beginner to intermediate level of difficulty.
The organizer has previously led many well attended hikes and some other outings for the Yahoo group BayAreaHiking and the Stanford Outing Club. The San Francisco Bay Area Outings group seeks to offer advanced beginner to intermediate hikes to a new audience. The hike organizer will ask for a voluntary donation of 1-2 dollars at the end of each hike to help cover Meetup’s charge for creating this meetup group. Let’s go out and enjoy the many wonderful outings in the Bay Area!
