Perl in Space
Details
When not hacking on Perl and other bits for craigslist (http://www.craigslist.org/about/craigslist_is_hiring), Jeremy Zawodny (http://jeremy.zawodny.com/) helps out with software for Yosemite Space (http://yosemitespace.com), his wife's company. As part of a soon-to-launch experiment that will be on the outside of the International Space Station (ISS), he had the opportunity to write Perl that will run in Space.
Come learn about the mission and experiment, what it's like to get a space payload ready, and things to consider when you're building software (especially Perl) for use in Space--or anywhere that you cannot easily get access to it for months.
