Holiday Party + Book Discussion + White Elephant Gift Exchange

<UPDATE> The book has been decided!  It was neck and neck, but "A Christmas Memory," by Truman Capote came out on top. Hopefully everyone can grab a copy at the library or a used book store.

Two other things to note:

  • Potluck theme: General "Holiday" Themed contributions would be appreciated. Bonus points if you can tie it into the book!
  • For the optional White Elephant gift exchange-keep an eye out for a quirky, original, or extremely useful gift in the $5-10 range. I think it will be hard to outdo the glass slipper soap dispenser, but I'm putting it out there as a challenge for those of you who decide to participate.

Any other questions, please feel free to message the organizers directly, and we'll hopefully get things cleared up.

See you all soon!

Hi All,

I can't believe we are so close to November--it's time to start thinking about the holidays and our last meetup for the year!

Odessa has kindly agreed to host again this year. Since there is still a little time to decide, I thought I'd put the book to a vote. Please click on the "More" tab to access the Poll. I will close the poll by the end of this month and update this meetup so you know which book was chosen.

More details to come shortly. I've upped the contribution to help cover snacks and spirits (non-alcoholic beverages will also be provided) for the party. We will also have an optional White Elephant gift exchange for those who are interested. And of course, potluck contributions would be greatly appreciated, since this is, after all, a food-oriented group. :)

Cheers!
Aimee

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
