I have a Masters Degree in Social Work - and most of my professional experience to this point has been in the social sector with non-profit organizations and networks and philanthropic institutions. I have substantial experience in organizational development, project management, participatory teaching methods, training and facilitation, strategic planning, and evaluations.
I'm in an exploratory phase in my career - and am considering a jump to the private sector. I primarily am interested in working in creative and innovative environments where there is an opportunity to cultivate authentic relationships with motivated and inspired people. My ideal position would utilize my unique capacity for organization, strategic planning, and to think in and understand complex systems. I'm a natural facilitator with a substantial amount of experience in workshop design - and I'm currently on course to receive an ORSC Coaching certificate from CRR Global. Long term I'm looking to have an impact by leading from the middle in the training/development/coaching field. Short term I'm looking to work collaboratively and diligently in an organization that can benefit from my dedication to quality work and outcomes while providing me with the experience I need to grow and learn.
I'm primarily interested in networking - in learning from others and their experiences, in hearing what is working, where opportunities are, where the energy is. I'm also interested in refining my professional identity and message, learning how to take advantage of social networking, and learning about West Coast professional culture and opportunities.
My family and I just relocated to the Bay Area from NYC - and we love it!! This is an exciting time for me both personally and professionally, and I'm grateful that it's happening here.
