Posterous (http://posterous.com) recently deployed Riak to serve as their content cache. In this talk, Julio Capote (https://twitter.com/#!/capotej) will cover why the engineering team chose Riak for the use case. He'll also share some details on the old post cache and its problems, what solutions they evaluated, and how they settled on Riak.

8:00 Preview of Riak Control

The next release of Riak will feature a robust, fully-open source cluster management tool called Riak Control (https://github.com/basho/riak_control). (Call it a "GUI" if you would like. We won't stop you.) I'll give a short overview of the existing data browsing and admin tools, and cover why we are building Control and what it'll offer to developers and ops people. I'm also planning a live demo of Riak Control if all goes well.
