Riak in a Multi-Datastore Strategy at Copious

Details
Hi All,
The next San Francisco Riak Meetup will be February 13th at BashoWest. Robert Zuber from Copious (http://copious.com) is joining us to talk about how he and his team use Riak alongside other datastores in production. This will be a valuable talk for anyone interested in how to incorporate Riak into an infrastructure with existing storage components that suit different use cases. Full details are below the break.
See you next month. Let me know if you have any questions. As usual, Basho will be handling the refreshments and pizza. Bring your hard questions.

Riak in a Multi-Datastore Strategy at Copious
Robert Zuber; Co-Founder, Copious
As a social marketplace, Copious (http://copious.com/) incorporates a blend of data models, each with its own constraints and operational challenges. Activity streams, social context, product search, and purchase processing span the spectrum from absolute consistency requirements to "any response is better than no response." Rather than trying to find one db to do everything, we've embraced a multi-datastore approach. With some great results and the odd epic fail.
We'll discuss what stores we're using and how we selected them, what's working well and what isn't, and where Riak fits into the stack. We'll also talk about specific use cases in our environment including both development and operational concerns.
