July News Letter

The summer is speeding along and a lot of stuff is going on.

The Promote and Sell Your Book workshop has filled up to capacity. But no worries, I have started a second group that meets on the first Sunday of each month. Here are the details for the August event.

Once again the Build Your Site Today workshop sold out in July...for the 4th month in a row. It is now open to 3 people at a time. We have one spot available for August

http://www.meetup.com/San-Francisco-Writers-Community/calendar/13964760/

This month we had a great event where 3 of our members talked about their experiences of independently publishing.

SFWC member Ian Tuttle did a great write up on the event: http://wordsofeverytype.com/so-you-want-to-self-publish/self-publishers-speak

The group is really growing and I want to make it even cooler. So, I am looking for someone to become the historian for the group. What that means is that you would be in charge of getting pictures posted from the events and take video of our readers each month at the Lit Events and put them on Youtube.

Let me know if you are interested in becoming involved at a higher level in the community.

I am lining up some great speakers to come share their thoughts with us about the future of writing and publishing, so keep your eyes open and don't miss out.

As always, let me know what you want more of and I will see if it can happen.

Talk to you soon,

Bill

P.S. If you know other writers, editors, publishers or whoever in the industry, invite them to come join us. The more community we have the stronger we all are.
