Trail condition: Varies from wide trail to single file trail with less than 50% shade. Some minor creak crossing as we get to the water fall, so where decent shoes.

Water: You must carry a minimum of 2-3liters.

Guest: yes (kids 10 and over) on a leash.

Dog: yes, on a leash.

Toilette: At the Eaton Canyon Nature Center.

What to Bring and Wear: Please review US Hiking Day Hike Equipment List (https://www.meetup.com/USHiking/pages/Day_Hike_Equipment_List/) for what you should bring and wear. Wear appropriate footwear as there will be some small rock / stream hopping.

Direction: . From the Foothill Freeway (I-210) take the Alta Dena exit north. Entrance to the Eaton Canyon Nature center is just past the intersection of New York Dr and Alta Dena Dr. Meet at the Trail head at the Parking lot, 8:30am.

Parking: Plenty of parking, if parking is full, extra parking is off to the side near the beginning of parking lot, look for access road.

Venue Overview:

Eaton Canyon Falls is a very popular beginners hike. So if you are looking for a reason to get started, this would be it. Or maybe you just want to get outside on a Saturday morning.

We will get started just after 8:30am the trail will take us just under an hour to get to the waterfall. Will hang out there for about 20 minutes and then return to the parking lot. No more than 4 miles round trip and you got outside!

Early departure: If a hiker needs to be separated from the group for any reason, he/she must inform the event host. Not knowing a hiker's where about may prompt the event host to report a hiker's missing to proper authority for further actions.
