What we’re about

Hello All My Antoine Hunter,
I'm here to support La Toya Brown in this meet up for she started this group.

But she said she had no time and there San Jose Facebook - cheaper for her as this cost money.. I agree! So we moving this page to North Bay :(

Video of who I am: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EnWhXWvBwMY
I'm an Bay Area Deaf American Artist ant I grew up all over the Bay Area! I love people, Arts of all kinds, and the Bay AreA!
This group is for all Deaf and hearing lovers of American Sign Language(ASL). Deaf people who know signs or learning new ASL ARE ENCOURAGED TO JOIN.. My Deaf friend know Spanish Sign language and learning American Sign Language. So Deaf of any kind are welcome.

Hearing people who know sign or learning Sign are welcome too.. This group isn't just about Sign language its about being a part of Deaf Culture. As a Deaf person I believe the best way to learn a language and culture is to practice and be around other people who use that language and a part of that culture .. Be a apart of our Deaf culture! Be our brothers and sisters or Deaf ally! Although there are some other ASL groups in Northern Bay Area California, many have joined this group too.. We are expanding. NorthBay ASL meetup continues to thrive because our members are diverse not only in their levels of ASL ability but also in hearing, hard of hearing, PODA's/CODA's, ethnicity, culture, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, career industry and residence location spanning Palo Alto to Fremont and even all the way up to Santa Cruz. We all are passionate about sharing what we know about signing. We are happy to share some idea about ASL, baby signing as well as Sigining in Exact English. You'll learn some interesting things. Our meetups create an awesome opportunity to learn ASL quickly in a safe non-threatening environment, while making friends and having fun. Excitement continues at every meetup because we learn from each other which in turn empowers us to continually improve our ASL conversational abilities. Discoveries also show that the more active you are in ASL practice, the better you will become. So we invite you to join us as we submerge ourselves in Deaf culture at bay area restaurants, local entertainment and recreational excursion hot spots. However we need your help to throw in idea of location that would bring new experience!

If you're shy then this meet up for you, if you're bold then this meet up for you, young or old , quite or talkative this meet up for you. I look forward to meeting you..

Here a small note..
My again is Antoine Hunter from northern Bay Area...
I am also host Oakland/Berkeley ASL meet up. ILL be doing my best to keep this Meetup going! I can't do this without your help so if you want to be a part of my team then yay let get start and have some fun!!!

This will be all over north bay -Antoine Hunter
