As a result, since he made the switch to a full-time career in Real Estate, John has continued to spend a significant amount of time mentoring and assisting new and less experienced investors. In addition, his newly formed company donates a portion of the proceeds from each sale to his family’s favorite charities supporting our troops, children and animals. Pierre Malak has over 20 years of experience in finance and over 15 years of experience in the real estate industry. His interest in the business world was sparked in his sophomore year of college at UC Davis when he started exporting cars and car parts to Eastern Europe shortly after the fall of the Iron Curtain. Although successful in the beginning, the further infiltration of American car companies made the venture less profitable. After graduation, he decided to accept an offer at Morgan Stanley as a private retail client account executive. In five short years, Pierre had gained prominent clients such as Anthony Robbins, an acquisition manager with Sony, and other business executives. He quickly climbed the ladder and became a million dollar producer and became Senior Vice President, the highest title of a retail account executive.

Due to health issues, Pierre decided to transition to the less stressful field of mortgage lending which quickly transitioned to real estate and real estate investing. In addition to helping clients with traditional real estate transactions, Pierre’s focus has been targeted at acquiring properties not listed on the MLS through various methods. He has renovated, listed and sold properties at significant profit throughout the Silicon Valley.

Mark Gagner is the founder and President of Bridge Equity Group, a multi-faceted real estate company investing in both single and multi family properties. The business focuses on singe family fix and flips in N CA and the acquisition of large apartments, student housing and commercial properties in emerging US markets. Currently, Mark owns single family homes in Atlanta, student housing in Philadelphia (12 units/43 rooms) and is managing partner in a 172 unit apartment complex in Longview, TX. His portfolio has grown dramatically in recent years by pursuing an aggressive strategy of reinvesting RE income back in to new investment opportunities and key partnerships.

Like many real estate investors in Silicon Valley, Mark started in hi-tech. Mark remains President of Gagner-Toomey Assoc, a local manufacturers Representative that sells electronic components and sub-systems to OEM manufacturers throughout Silicon Valley. His corporate tech career began in 1986, however he found a passion for real estate investing in 2010. In January 2011, Mark acquired his CA real estate license and immediately began buying, fixing and renting distressed single family properties in the Central Valley. A year later, Mark earned his CA brokerage license and had acquired 7 single-family homes in Fresno, all generating returns in the high teens. In March 2012, Mark started his fix/flip business in the Bay Area (Bridge Equity Group), hiring labor to do all the work. Projects have consistently earned capital returns in excess of 100%. Mark was introduced to the world of multi-family investing in early 2013, and specifically the Dave Lindahl network of commercial real estate investors. Since then, his real estate strategy has been to invest in commercial opportunities capable of generating exceptional returns.

Mark loves competitive sports and the outdoors, participating in water ski tournaments, mountain/road bike races, and snow skiing adventures. He is passionate about sharing his knowledge and experiences with anybody wanting to learn more about real estate investing and the path it can provide to financial freedom. Meeting like–minded people are one of the true joys of the business, and Mark hopes his interactions will inspire others to pursue their goals and dreams.
