Kafka: The swiss army knife of (big) data - Victor Palma, Rackspace

It doesn’t matter if you are in operations or development, we all produce and consume data. You might even have your own strategy. Things are moving along and you are getting what you need, but now you are adding new applications, infrastructure, or you might want to get additional information from your data. However, that means that you need to revisit your original strategy, which might prove more intrusive than originally thought. What if you could add, remove update your pipeline without having to impact your current production setup? Well, fear not as there is a way to do such a thing by using Apache Kafka.
