This Thursday, April 3rd, from 17:00 to 22:00, marks the 6th annual UCSD Matsuri, their big Japanese festival, put on jointly by the Japanese Student Association (of which I just happen to be a member) and the Nikkei Student Union.

They typically have a bunch of Japanese food 屋台 , plus some game booths and live entertainment. Lines tend to be very long, so you might want to bring a friend you can talk to while waiting. If you're a regular at our Tuesday meetups, you're sure to run into people you know.

The location is UCSD's Library Walk. The most convenient place to park is the Gillman Parking Structure at the corner of Gilman Drive and Via La Jolla Drive, though it will set you back $1.50 or more an hour. In theory, you can buy a one-night permit for $3, though procuring one is next to impossible. Or take one of the many bus routes that serve the campus.
