2012 SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA PERMACULTURE CONVERGENCE moved to 2013

Hello Friends and Supporters

The Southern California Permaculture Convergence that was scheduled for June 8-10 has been postponed until 2013. The current organizing committee feels a need to bridge the region of Southern California to create a larger council with spokespeople and stakeholders from each county before moving ahead to plan the next Convergence. We expect the synergy created from this group to build a structural formula to promote cohesion and empowerment for all individuals in attendance and for all regions represented. We intend for this approach to help strengthen and grow the Permaculture Community throughout Southern California and beyond.

The Mission of the Southern California Permaculture Convergence is to continue fostering the appropriate conditions for creating greater interconnections within our communities that will propagate systems of economic, environmental, and social sustainability.

As we move forward into a more sustainable future, we are creating both physical and virtual hubs for sharing resources, wisdom, and new innovations. As we care for the Earth, care for people, and reinvest the surplus, we are also working together to define the structure, function, and organization of our regional network, local food system, and local economies.
