We are a group of tea enthusiasts who enjoy building community around the shared experience of tea and tea culture. Tea offers us a way to take time out from our usual routines to recharge our energy, clear our minds, meet with friends and share our knowledge and experience.
We are tea enthusiasts who meet at cafes, restaurants, hotels, parks or just about anywhere that sells tea, serves tea or that allows us to prepare our own tea. Our Meetups are alcohol-free.
Some activities will be more passive, such as enjoying a delicious brunch with tea. Other activities will be more active, such as cooking with tea or practicing how to serve tea.
San Diego Tea is a club in which the members can participate passively or actively. It's great if all you want to do is come to an occasional brunch for companionship over tea. It is equally great if you want to become a key organizer of events or if you want to offer your home as a meeting place for tea brewing on a regular basis.
The main thing is to relax, have fun and enjoy each others' company at tea!

The Whole Leaf is holding monthly tea tastings for San Diego Tea on the last Sunday of each month. The November29th session will be a tea meditation starting at 9:30AM. The teashop serves tea in the Chinese gong-fu style with small Yixing pots and tiny cups. The setting is quiet, mindful and unhurried.
The Whole Leaf only stocks organic teas and you will be able to buy tea and teaware after the tasting. Read more
