Four very lucky San Diego Tea Meetup members will get to participate in Mad Monk Tea's "Sencha-Do: Experience of the Japanese Steeped Tea Ceremony". The tea session will happen on Saturday, March 24th from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. The morning session was filled by the tea shop separately.
Blair Whitaker will cover the basic history, aesthetics, tea-ware, and brewing of Japanese steeped tea. This informative talk and tasting will have you enjoying several exquisite Japanese tea varieties as well as getting you started practicing your own Sencha-Do. No prior knowledge of Sencha is needed to participate.
