FREE membership, just join us for some fun!
This group is for people who are either living or traveling in the SF Bay area and are looking to have some fun in the city! Come socialize with us and meet other locals, students, interns, expats, au pairs and travelers from around the world! When you attend an event, often you'll feel like you've just landed in Europe, Australia or South America without even leaving the city. We head to the pubs, clubs, go on pub crawls, enjoy road trips and outdoor activities, cheap dinner nights, trivia nights, sports events, dance parties, house parties, and other local activities.
Our meet ups usually get a bunch of travelers/hostelers/backpackers/students/interns/expats/au pairs from all over the city along with locals wanting to meet them, share travel stories, and party like they're on holiday. When we organize an event, 90% of the attendees have just met each other that night or are new to the city.
So if you're new to SF or even if you have tons of friends but they are all busy studying/working one night and you want to hit the town - then come meet up with us and party with some new friends for the evening! Or if you're an au pair, on a J1 visa, or studying/interning in SF and want to bump into some fun people from your home country or meet other J1ers/students/interns/au pairs in SF, our meet ups are the best place to do this. And you'll meet travel-friendly locals at the same time who will tell you all the “local secrets” on where to have fun in the city.
Membership is FREE and we only pick free and cheap events to attend – because we know that travelers/students are usually on a budget. You only have to be fun and friendly to join!

By joining this group, RSVP'ing to events, and attending events, you are confirming that you have read, understand and accept the following:
- Mingle with Travelers, Students, Au Pairs & Locals in SF is a private group. Attending events is voluntary by you as a member. Participation in any activity with us is at your own risk.
- By joining Mingle with Travelers, Students, Au Pairs & Locals in SF as a member you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mingle with Travelers, Students, Au Pairs & Locals in SF, its organizers, coorganizers, assistant organizers, event hosts, and other members from all claims or liability of every type (including court costs and legal fees) for injury or death to any person or for damage to property, loss of personal property or any other wrongful act arising out of or relating to your participation as a member. This agreement applies to you and to other persons (as your guests) who may accompany you in these endeavors.
- You also agree to hold the organizers as well as other group members harmless. By participating voluntarily in the group, you expressly waive any and all such claims against each and every other member in the group, including without limitation any and all claims against the group organizer, coorganizers, assistant organizers, and event hosts.
- Mingle with Travelers, Students, Au Pairs & Locals in SF holds a variety of different activities such as, but not limited to cycling, hiking, biking, camping, bar nights, pub crawls, cultural events and so on. These events can be dangerous and pose a risk to Mingle with Travelers, Students, Au Pairs & Locals in SF members and guests. By participating voluntarily in the group you understand that you are responsible for your own safety.
- Any social events that Mingle with Travelers, Students, Au Pairs & Locals in SF sponsors and holds such as, but not limited to cycling, picnics, group trips, outings, dining, pub crawls, concerts and so on will fall also under the same Disclaimer and Liability guidelines listed above.
