Sandstorm SF Project Night w/ special guest David Renshaw - Newcomers Welcome

Details
This is our second Project Night! We'll have a brief intro by David Renshaw about the new sharing features of Sandstorm, and then three hands-on tracks.
Join us to learn about, talk about, install, and improve Sandstorm & personal server apps!
Project nights are unstructured chances for Sandstorm developers & users to work together, mentor each other, connect socially, teach, learn, or do whatever else it is Sandstorm users & developers want to do together.
Intro by David Renshaw about sharing & permissions in Sandstorm:
• We're lucky to have David Renshaw in town -- he's usually based in Pittsburgh. David is the lead developer of the new sharing features of Sandstorm, as well as the author of capnproto-rust and packager of BrowserQuest. He'll talk about sharing and other topics of his interest. Every app instance is shareable as a Sandstorm platform feature; you can read more in "Delegation is the Cornerstone of Civilization (https://blog.sandstorm.io/news/2015-05-05-delegation-is-the-cornerstone-of-civilization.html)", or try it on the Sandstorm demo.
After that, we will have three hands-on tracks.
• Hands-on intro: Test out the Sandstorm demo, and give us direction on what apps would make it more useful to you. For techies, work through an installation tutorial and learn how to configure and use your own Sandstorm server. Mentors will be happy to answer your questions about Sandstorm, what it can do, and how to get the best of your install.
• App developer & packager: Work with a mentor on a packaging tutorial, taking a web app of your own (or our sample app) and turn it into a Sandstorm package (SPK) that others can install. You're invited to chat with experienced Sandstorm packagers to resolve any questions you have. If you want, you can even skip the tutorial.
• Socializing/other: Talk with others about Sandstorm and personal servers; make connections and share ideas. Best for more experienced people.
Our project nights are great ways to build the Sandstorm & server self-hosting community, by allowing people to meet and interact in whatever way they find most beneficial.
Food: SF Wraps (http://www.yelp.com/biz/sf-wraps-san-francisco) (middle eastern). Contact us with dietary restrictions.
Event sponsor: Thoughtworks! Huge thanks to them, and to Jack Singleton for making that happen.
P.S. We're looking for somewhere to host a South Bay meetup, too, preferably near Caltrain. Can you or your company help? If so, email community@sandstorm.io
More about Sandstorm
Sandstorm is the easiest way you've ever seen to install web apps like Etherpad, GitLab, WordPress and Wave on a Linux server. Sandstorm looks like a usability project, but is secretly a security project. It's a whole new take on running your own server.
If you haven't yet, you should try the demo at https://demo.sandstorm.io/
