Details

This week Makerspace Open Lab is providing an opportunity to participate in The Hour of Code.

What's an Hour of Code?

It's a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify "code" and show that anyone can learn the basics to be a maker, a creator, an innovator.

More here: http://csedweek.org/

The Hour of Code sessions will start at 6pm for kids 5+ using one of the age-appropriate tutorials shown here, on library computers: csedweek.org/learn2 (http://t.co/exn1OrqSUc), and at 7pm for teens (JavaScript). Some of the tutorials will run on tablets or phones - you are welcome to bring your own and use the makerspace wifi.

Mentors will also be on hand to assist.

As usual, Open Lab visitors will have access to a 3D printer, circuit kits and mentors if they prefer to do something else.
