The Hour of Code, or 3D Printing, or build circuits or...

This week Makerspace Open Lab is providing an opportunity to participate in The Hour of Code.

What's an Hour of Code?

It's a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify "code" and show that anyone can learn the basics to be a maker, a creator, an innovator.

More here:

The Hour of Code sessions will start at 6pm for kids 5+ using one of the age-appropriate tutorials shown here, on library computers:, and at 7pm for teens (JavaScript).  Some of the tutorials will run on tablets or phones - you are welcome to bring your own and use the makerspace wifi.

Mentors will also be on hand to assist.

As usual, Open Lab visitors will have access to a 3D printer, circuit kits and mentors if they prefer to do something else.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
