Trails and Ales - Goleta Style at Captain Fatty's Brewery

Greetings and Hello,

The Los Padres Forest Association (LPFA) (http://www.LPForest.org) and Santa Barbara Trails Council (https://sbtrails.org/) are proud to announce Trails and Ales Goleta Style at Captain Fatty's Brewery – Thursday February 19 from 5-8 pm. If you've not been to Captain Fatty's, come on out and experience the Greater Goleta areas newest beer sensation. What could be better than talking trails while sipping ales – NOTHING!

We'll have a raffle with prizes including Patagonia Capilene baselayers, REI daypacks, Patagonia fleece, Los Padres hiking maps, Los Padres trail guides and much more…..

In addition, there will be a silent auction featuring framed local backcountry photographs, historic trail guides, maps, books and jewelry. You’ll like it!

We’ll also be BBQing for those who wish to wash their beer down with some tasty sandwiches. What better way to prepare for Friday than beer and triptip sandos.

And to cap it off we’ll have a game that challenges your knowledge of the sites and sights of the Los Padres Forest. Email us ( INFO@LPForest.org ) a picture of your favorite backcountry campsite or recognizable feature before Tuesday the 17th. We’ll take it from there – it’s gonna be fun!

And of course there is the beer, trail talk and knowledge that all funds raised will go towards supporting LPFA Trail Maintenance projects in the Los Padres National Forest. This Spring we have plans to work on the Mission Pine, Cold Spring, Ranger Peak, Hurricane Deck, Gene Marshall / Piedra Blanca, Santa Cruz and Buckhorn Trails. Lots going on! Lets raise a glass to the maintenance of these trails and much more.......
