Hike Gorgeous Fish Canyon in the Castaic Range

May 28, Saturday, Fish Canyon 10 miles. This is one of our hidden treasures. This canyon is gorgeous. We will hike into an area called Piano Box, via Fish Canyon. Fish Canyon will make you feel like you’ve been on a vacation. Bring your camera for lots of photos. There are many water crossings. Please wear waterproof boots or water sandals. Poles are a helpful addition to this hike. A good portion of this hike is along an old cement road from the 30s that nature is gradually taking back. Once we’ve reached Cienega Camp, it will become a single track trail.

Meet at Towsley Canyon OUTSIDE the gate at 8:00 AM for an 8:15 departure to the trailhead. OR, meet at the trail head at 8:45.

Directions to the trailhead: Go north on I-5 to Templin Hwy. Exit. Turn right. Go to the end of this road. You will see a white gate blocking the road. Park here.

Bring water, lunch, snacks, camera, waterproof boots or hiking water sandals.
