Sunday, November 16-Condor Micro-Trash Clean Up

Today we’ll be working with a group of students from Moorpark, picking up micro-trash to help the condor population up at Bear Divide.

We’ll start at the Bear Divide Picnic Area and work our way up Bear Divide to Contractor’s Point.

Meet: At 8:00 AM at the Bear Divide Picnic Area. We will work until 11:00AM or 12:00PM.

Bring: Water a snacks. Also a Big Gulp size plastic cup or similar tupper-ware type bowl/container, latex gloves, wipes, stool or towel to sit on, and a trash bag for larger items.

Wear: Loose clothing and comfortable shoes. Boots are not necessary. If it is a cool day, keep in mind that it is usually windier and colder up on Bear Divide.

Directions to Bear Dide Picnic Area: Take the I-5 Freeway to the SR-14 Freeway. Exit Sand Canyon, turn right. Go past all the houses on Sand Canyon and enter the Angeles National Forest. Go up up up the hill. You will pass a memorial on the right side, and you will pass Santa Clara Road on the left. Shortly after this will be a road on the right without a street sign. Turn right. Immediately on your right you will see Bear Divide Picnic Area. Park. This is where we will meet.
