Make a Difference Day/Save the Condors

We will work until 2:00. You will need to bring a baggie or two to put the micro-trash in.http://photos1.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/6/2/c/2/event_59545282.jpeg Micro-trash is bits and pieces of glass, metal, plastic. Bring: water, snacks, 4 plastic grocery type bags or an old Tupperware plastic bowl, gloves (latex are best), towel/stool/garden chair to sit on, wet wipes, hand sanitizer, lunch. WEAR: Old, loose clothing, comfortable clothing, hat, sunscreen. If it is cold, wear extra layers as it ishttp://photos2.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/6/6/5/0/event_59546192.jpeg always colder on Bear Divide, and it is windy. Bring your camera. It is possible that you will see a condor.

Directions: Take the SR-14 North to the Sand Canyon exit. Exit, turn right if you’re going North. (Turn left on Sand Canyon if you’re going South). Pass all of the houses and enter into the Angeles National Forest. After you enter the forest, go up hill another 3-4 miles. Continue all the way up the hill to Bear Divide Road. There will be no street sign. Look for a sign that says, “Bear Divide Ranger Station”. Turn right. Immediately on your right is Bear Divide Picnic Area. If you start going down the hill, you’ve gone too far. We will meet at the Bear Divide Picnic Area sharply at 9:00 AM. And leave for our clean up location after an introduction and instructions, so be prompt, or you will miss us.
