Hike wonderful Historic Mt. Lowe

Saturday, October 15-Hike wonderful Mt. Lowe near Pasadena. http://photos1.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/3/8/9/2/event_61394482.jpegThis will be a 6 mile RT hike with a 800’ gain. Meet at Towsley Canyon at 8:00 for an 8:15 departure to the trail head in Pasadena. You will visit old hotel and railroad ruins, then return to the city below. http://photos1.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/3/8/c/e/event_61394542.jpegIf you would like to continue on your own from the hotel, you can then climb to the top of inspiration point where you will be able to see as far as Catalina Island, if it is clear. http://photos2.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/3/8/e/c/event_61394572.jpegBring your camera, lunch, and lots of water. To meet at the trail head, take I-210 East to Lake Avenue in Pasadena. http://photos2.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/3/9/3/2/event_61394642.jpegExit, turn left (North), follow Lake Avenue about 3 miles, all the way to the end. (It will turn left and become Loma Alta Drive. Don’t make this turn) Park on the street. We’ll meet at the BIG IRON GATE on the corner of Lake Avenue and Loma Alta Drive. Leader: Richard
