He will open the gate so we can drive to the top of the mountain and spend all of our time cleaning up the micro-trash!!! Driving up you may see bear, deer, cougar, http://photos1.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/6/2/c/2/event_59545282.jpegand smaller animals, and evidence of them like scat and tracks. You may even see a condor, as this is next to the Sespe Condor Preserve. Once we get to the peak, pick up some micro-trash that is on the peak, have lunch, and head down again. Winds on this peak reached 94 MPH this last winter. Thank you for volunteering! DIRECTIONS: Take the I-5 NORTH to Templin Hwy. Exit. Turn LEFT. Go under the freeway, and turn right on Golden State Hwy. Follow this road for 3 miles until you see a brown sign on the left that says Whittaker Peak. Park on the RIGHT side of the road. We will meet here, then carpool to the trail head, leaving some cars at this point.
