Weldon to East Canyon- 8 mile adventure.

Saturday, December 3- Weldon to East Canyon-This is a moderate 8 mile adventure. You will travel up Weldon Canyon to the Michael D.Antonovich Open Space Preserve, traverse the mountain ridge and exit down and out East Canyon. Meet at East Canyon at 8:10, to leave promptly for the Weldon Canyon Trail head at 8:20. We will be leaving half the cars at East Canyon to provide a shuttle back to Weldon Canyon after the hike. To get to East Canyon Trailhead, exit I-5 at Calgrove, turn south onto the Old Road. Continue on the Old Road past the Signal, past Towsley Canyon, past the Church of the Nazarene. Immediately past the Church of the Nazarene, you can enter an asphalt driveway, and make an immediate left on to a service road. Pass a green sign that says East Canyon, a house, corrals, the trail head, and enter a parking area. Parking is $5.00 here, or you can exit and park on the street for free.
