Hike O’Melveny Park to East Canyon.

This is a great hike from O’Melveny Park in North Hills to East Canyon in Santa Clarita. There is a lot of climbing over the mountain ridges. Meet at East Canyon, on the Old Road. We will be parking some vehicles here, and then carpooling down to the valley and O’Melveny Park. We will rest at Mission Peak and have an early lunch or snacks before we continue on to East Canyon. Bring your camera, lunch, snacks, lots of water. Wear long pants as a portion of the trail is overgrown. Meet at East Canyon at 7:15 for a 7:30 carpool departure to O’Melveny Park.

Directions to East Canyon: Exit the I-5 at Calgrove. Turn left if you are coming from the SF Valley. Turn Right if you are coming from the SCV. Go through the signal, continue south on the Old Road past the Church of the Nazarene. Park on the road past the Church. We will meet here.
