New Elsmere Open Space to Beale’s Cut AND Whitney Canyon.

The total will be 10 miles, but you can choose to only do one of these hikes. There will be some altitude gain at the beginning of the Elsmere Loop, but you can take http://photos1.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/2/8/c/0/event_134230432.jpegthis slowly if you wish. We will divert from the route to visit the top of Beale’s Cut, then return and finish the loop. We will return to the parking lot so at this point, http://photos3.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/2/9/1/a/event_134230522.jpegpeople can leave if they wish. Then, we will continue on to the Whitney Canyon Waterfall (that probably will no longer be running at this point). This is an easy, flat hike. It is shady, so it will be a rather leisurely, and cooler in the heat of the day.

Bring lunch, snacks, lots of water, poles if you have them, and a camera.

Meet at the Park and Ride at the MRCA Green entrance sign at 7:00 for a 7:15 departure.
