Hackergarten #2: Censor-proof web names with Namecoin and beeLīn

A hackergarten is a cooperative alternative to a Hackathon. The term and concept is a European import and we think it's high time to have one in Santa Cruz. The Devoxx website explains (http://www.devoxx.be/hackergarten/):

Hackergartens are a great place to meet new people, have fun, and improve the lives of developers around the world one patch at a time; provided you’re willing to bring your laptop and get your hands dirty. Write a plugin, a tutorial, a small feature, or a bug fix for a project that interests you alongside several open-source experts willing to share their knowledge.

The beeLīn project (https://github.com/beeLin) is very young, but its focus is on censorship-resistance (http://n-o-d-e.net/post/113777384551/the-namecoin-interview-censorship-resistant) and privacy (https://github.com/okTurtles/dnschain/blob/master/docs/What-is-it.md#MITMProof) -- very good causes we think. We are building network libraries, browsers and user experiences that are resistant to censorship and spying.

We plan to continue work on the Java version of beeLīn, with the goal of connecting Namecoin name resolution via DNSChain to a working JavaFX-based Web Browser.
