A panel of local experts suggest one thing each of us can do to stem climate change on a local level.   Panelists include environmental lawyer and Sierra Club organizer Celia Scott, Gary Patton, Michael Levy, Gine Johnson, Polly Hughes, and Newton & Helen Mayer Harrison.

This is not a Sierra Club Santa Cruz sponsored event, but addresses an important issue which is of concern and interest to our members.

Perhaps it's a bit late, but I'd like the panelists to think about the question: In addition to the Sierra Club, which organization is most effective in fighting climate change? I'd like to know the answer so I can give my support where it is most influential. Another, but closely related, question is where to give our support to pro-democracy efforts in the U.S. If we have real democracy, we'll have effective environmental education and science/environment reporting. Actually, not just the panelists but all attendees can contribute to our self-education on these and other questions.
