RLC Monthly Meeting featuring Jason Nelson and Leslie Wiscomb

Update: Venue is now at the Rusty's Pizza on Upper State Street due to a scheduling conflict at the one on Storke.

This month's RLC month will feature two independent candidates running for Santa Barbara City Council: Jason Nelson and Lesley Wiscomb. Jason is the youngest candidate in the race at 34 years old, but has lots of experience in civil affairs after serving two tours in Afghanistan. Lesley Wiscomb is currently the chair of the Parks and Rec Department and it's also her first time running for city council. Our guest speakers will each talk for 10-15 minutes, and then we'll follow it up with a Q&A session.

After the speakers we'll have a round table discussion involving everyone. Some of the topics on our agenda will be as follows:

A. Local Level Issue - Gang Injunction (short talk by our RLC Secretary Brandon Morse, followed by discussion)
B. State Level Issue - Chris Kolski's Assembly race in the 45th district
C. National Level Issue - What is an appropriate foreign policy? Rand Paul vs. Chris Christie feud. Libertarianism vs. neo-conservatism. Non-intervention vs. intervention.
