Scaladays Hack Weekend

We'll be hacking on anything Scala and the goal will be to create something special in a short time. You can hack alone or in teams. You'll also get the chance to pitch your idea to win over others to join you. So if you don't have an idea of your own then just join someone else's idea.

You can use any framework or library as long as the main application code is in Scala. The Typesafe folks will assist you in case you need some guidance. Food and drinks are provided, for more details check the schedule.

Rough Schedule

30.05. Friday (Drinks and Snacks): 19:00 - 22:00 hrs

1. Welcome, goals and rules

2. Team and individual introductions combined with pitching ideas.

3. Talk: How to create an Activator template (15 min.)

4. Talk: How to deploy a Play app to the cloud (15 min.)

31.05. Saturday (Lunch and Snacks) : 09:00 - 21:00 hrs

1. Registration continued, and Hack, Hack, Hack...

01.06. Sunday (Breakfast) : 10:00 - 13:00 hrs

1. Presentations/Voting + Awards

Awards: We'll give away a free Scala Days pass to the first place, $100 gift card to Typesafe shop to the second place, $50 gift card to the third place.
