Following on from our last meetup we will be back at The Joker on Thursday 9th July, from 6.30pm with drinks and talks. Each talk will be about 40minutes.
6:45pm - Chris Batey, Technical Evangelist, DataStax will be talking about Scaling Apache Cassandra.
Hit the bottleneck of your existing database? Had enough of sharding? This short session will explain how Cassandra scales to millions of transactions a second. If you haven't read the Amazon Dynamo paper hopefully you'll be inspired to after this talk!

7.45pm - Hannes Ricklefs, Head of Software, Moving Picture Company will be Navigating the Space-time Continuum: Discussing developing a robust multi-site visual effects production pipeline. A fascinating insight in what it takes to build processes and co-ordinate people and software.
