When you are in the sea it demands your full attention, so you become more fully aware of your body and your surroundings.
Being submerged in water brings you 'to your senses'. As you become more fully aware of what is going on in your body and in the environment, your analysing, worrying mind gets a rest.
Being in the sea is an existential raincheck, it brings you back in touch with the fragility of our existence in a wonderful world, which can give a useful sense of perspective to take back to the office.

Outline of the session:
Starting with a 30 min introduction to the psychological, emotional and physical benefits of sea swimming, this will be followed by a discussion of your individual needs and experience of sea swimming.

Followed by guided group discussion, tea, coffee and open fire cooking welsh cakes.

During the session, you will get to explore your relationship with the sea: what emotions do you have in response to the sea? What do you think about the sea? What does the sea mean to you?
You can then think about any changes you might like to make in your relationship to it.
And for example, if you feel fear despite being a good swimmer, this workshop will help you develop confidence.
