Berkeley, Vedanta, and Tantra: connections

Details
We will discuss points of similarity and contrasts between the philosophies of George Berkeley (subjective idealism), Shankara (Advaita Vedanta), and the Tantra. The philosophies share the notion of the immanence of the divine in the manifest world, and the primacy of the consciousness. But they arise from very different traditions.
This will be the penultimate seminar in this series. The last one will be the following Thursday, 20th September, when tantrika Roxana Hewett will give an introduction to "Tantra - A Non-Dual Path".
As usual a £4 donation would be appreciated to cover the room hire.
Note that next week, on 19th September, Dr Steve Minett will commence his series of five seminars on "Theories of Consciousness"

This will also be at the North London Buddhist Centre.
