There's no doubt that whilst Bitcoin has caught most of the attention and spotlight to date, there's a major shift of focus to Blockchain technology these days that involves using the power of that technology for new use-cases other than currency.

In this talk, Eliran Zach (Back-end & Devops Engineer, Colu (http://colu.co/)) will be reviewing the next generation of Bitcoin developments and explaining Colored Coins. He'll also explore the main benefits and some use cases of issuing digital assets on top of the blockchain, before taking a look at some different applications already using that technology.

To demonstrate the technology, we'll be creating the first Scottish Bitcoin Meetup coins as souvenirs for those that turn up on the night so everyone can experience digital assets for themselves.
