Scout Masters is about developing and recognizing new skills & experiences, from the useful to the unusual. We're modeled after the Boy / Girl Scouts, providing merit badges for each new skill you master. Scout Master goals:

1. Help each other develop new skills ("you know, like  nunchuck skills, bow hunting skills, computer hacking skills..." *)

2. Reward creation, learning, & discovery with  merit badges

3. Enjoy  maximum fun!

No experience with boy or girl scouts required:  You just need an appreciation of impressive badge collections and a desire to become a ninja of many crafts. Let's see how many wacky & wonderful things we can do / learn / discover!

Badges can be earned for standard "scout" activities like camping, painting, archery, or cooking OR more unexpected adventures, like winning a Tetris championship, combating a Zombie, or mastering your Pirate accent.

Ultimately, I'd like members to suggest & host workshops around their own craft of choice: knitting, comic book drawing, SQL coding --  you name it, we'll Scout Master it!

Join our troop! if you...

1. Celebrate fun, enjoy a challenge, & desire to learn new things

2. Collect obsessively and/or w ish to transfer your foursquare badge addiction to "real" life

3. Want to get rewarded for discovering and sharing skills!

Here's how it works:

At your first meetup, you'll receive a "welcome" badge to get you started. From there, new badges will be supplied to commemorate each new skill you've acquired.

Images of the badge awarded will be in the event description so you can see what you're adding to your collection. Join today to see examples of what you can earn...

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
