Earn Your CHAINMAIL Badge!

Earn your Chainmail badge:

Hi everyone! Join me this Sunday to learn ye olde arte of chainmaille! (superfluous 'e's optional). I'll be going over several basic weaves including 4-in-1, Byzantine, Roundmaille, and maybe some others depending on how the evening goes. I'll provide cut rings and demonstrate how to make your own with wire and dowels.

What to Bring:

If you have two pair of jewelry pliers (small needlenose without any teeth), bring em'. I'll have a couple of loaner sets on hand, and will also pick up some extras in case people are interested in purchasing a pair. Cost would probably be $7.00, or best offer.

Arm yourself this Sunday!

It was a fun class. Our instructor was so patient and I really felt like I had learned something.

Mike was super patient teaching a difficult skill to a large group. In the end, we were all quite pleased to discover we were actually creating something cool out of those little rings, after all!

@Reigh, Don't see why not. It uses 4-in-1, which is the basic flat 'weave'. Cool idea!

@Mike, Do you think we could make a chainmail badge for this event? How feasible is something like this for first-timers? http://home.earthlink.net/~pkinnes/chainmail/round_4in1.html
