Details

WordPress is a fantastic tool for publishing Web content. And it can offer so much more! At this Meetup you will meet two local veterans of WordPress development, Scott Marlow and Mark Root-Wiley, who will provide a 1-hour talk about WordPress then we will follow-up with an open panel discussion.

Starting at 6:30 Mark and Scott will talk about:

• An overview of what WP is, and what WP is not

• WP vs Drupal and Joomla

• Hosting on a budget

• How to set up your own WP site

• What you need to know about pre-built themes

• What you need to know about plugins

• Systems integration - what works, what doesn't
