Art Talk: A Conversation with Jason Landry & Barbara Zulkiewicz

Art Talk: A Conversation with Jason Landry & Barbara Zulkiewicz

Join the conversation with Jason Landry, author of Instant Connections: Essays and Interviews on Photography and owner of Panopticon Gallery in Boston, and photographer Barbara Zulkiewicz.  The Talk will follow an interview format with Q&A toward the end.

Jason Landry will share an exquisitely entertaining peek from inside the darkroom to the outside white-walled world of photography. Through personal essays and interviews, Landry will mix his inspirational and humorous tales alongside his highlights and struggles while describing how networking, having mentors and making connections helped him shape his career in the arts.

Jason Landry is a writer, photography collector and owner of Panopticon Gallery in Boston.  Landry earned his B.F.A. in Photography at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and an M.F.A. in Visual Arts from The Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University.  In 2013 he accepted the position of Director of the MFA in Photography program at the New Hampshire Institute of Art and started blogging for the Huffington Post.

Barbara Zulkiewicz is a local photographer and photography enthusiast. She suffers from "FOMS", the fear of missing something, when it comes to anything art related. She is a member of the Seacoast Photographers Group, on the Board and a member do the New Hampshire Society of Photographic Artists, Kittery Art Association, and the New Hampshire Art Association. Her photography has been seen in juried shows in the local area. Barbara is currently serving as Chair of the NHSPA Star Island photography retreat which takes care in September for the 3rd year.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
