Come watch the Rat City Rollergirls battle it out on the flat track, followed by drinks/hanging out in Queen Anne. If you can't make it to the match but want to meet up afterwards, just let me know.
If you haven't watched roller derby before, no worries. It's easy to pick up, and they explain the rules. If 5 or more people sign up we can try to get a deal on tickets. Seating is general admission. Let's plan to sit toward the bottom of section 107. Opening ceremonies start at 5:30. There will be a halftime show between the two bouts.
The first bout of the evening is a highly anticipated match-up between 2012 Home Team Champions Grave Danger and the Derby Liberation Front. The last time these two teams met in competition was almost a year ago when Grave Danger defeated DLF by just 5 points, helping to keep them out of the 2012 Championship game.
In the second bout of the evening the Throttle Rockets, after two close losses to Rat City home teams in the beginning of the season, will be looking to show the Port Scandalous Brawl Stars of Port Angeles, WA, that they are still a team to be feared.
There will be a 50/50 raffle which awards half the pot to the winner, so you could win a chunk of cash while you're there!
