World's Largest Snowball Fight Guinness World Records Record Attempt
100% CHANCE OF SNOW

Come January 12, Seattle Center will be transformed into a winter wonderland with 162,000 pounds of snow from nearby mountains. The fun begins at noon, when you'll be able to register and watch groups build snow forts and castles. Then, come 5 p.m., the whole party will be ready to blast off with the main event: the massive snowball fight. Finish the night with a 12-venue pub crawl (http://www.snow.co/#pubcrawl), the perfect way to relive all your winter war stories.

Snow, Forts, Music, Pub-crawl, and You

Besides being part of the most epic snowball fight ever, what is the best aspect of a snow day? SNOW FORTS!!! Obvi. (Then snow day drinks...double obvi.)

EXPECT LOTS OF SNOW

EXPECT LOTS OF PUBS 12 bars and restaurants in lower Queen Anne will be offering discounted Snow Day drink and food specials. Check the pub crawl page (http://www.snow.co/#pubcrawl) for the complete listing.

EXPECT LOTS OF FUN 6.02x10^23 moments of sheer joy and awesomeness are just around the corner. This is a unique opportunity to celebrate the magic of a snow day with close friends and fellow snow day lovers. As a community, let's make this a safe and magical experience for all.

Here's how it will go down:

Noon: Registration begins
1:00pm: Snow Fort and Snow Castle competition begins
4:30pm: Snow Fort and Snow Castle winners announced
5:00pm: World's largest snowball fight
6:00pm: Pub crawl and war stories

I figure we can be gathered by 4:00 and play in the snow for an hour before the snowball fight. If people want to show up earlier and compete in the fort & castle contest (you have to form a group and sign up), go for it. A parcel of land and snow costs $1000 for the contest.

Snow Day tickets are now sold out! SideCar still has some tickets to give away! Follow them on Twitter @SideCarSEA to win yours this week! MOViN 92.5 (https://www.facebook.com/MOViN925) will also be giving away tickets this week. Make sure you tune into the morning show (from 6a-10a) to win! http://movin925.com/events/world-record-snow-day .

The cost for this event is $25 (plus a $2.24 fee). You can sign up and buy tickets here: http://snowday.eventbrite.com/ . As of January 7th, there are only 197 185 tickets left, so REGISTER NOW if you don't want to miss the fun. Yes, the number of tickets decreased by 12 in just the time it took me to update two paragraphs.

Living Social had tickets for $12, but they sold out fast. If you want to attend and don't want to shell out the $25, you can sign up to be a volunteer and get in for free. You have to sign up IN ADVANCE here: http://www.volunteerspot.com/login/entry/183056972040 .

ALL PROCEEDS BENEFIT THE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUBS OF KING COUNTY.

For more info visit the event page: http://www.snow.co/

Where do I park?

There are multiple options. Right in front of Memorial Stadium is a small paid parking lot; there are also multiple parking garages for Seattle Center. For complete list and pricing, click here (http://www.seattlecenter.com/transportation/parking/). Since we are also an eco-friendly centric city we also recommend taking King County Metro (http://tripplanner.kingcounty.gov/cgi-bin/itin_page.pl), biking, walking...heck run there if you want!
