I've been wanting to bring Matthias to Seattle for 3 years now. I excited that he's finally going to speak here.

Don't miss this talk!

About Titan

Titan (http://thinkaurelius.github.io/titan/) is an open-source, distributed, real-time,scalable transactional graph database that has proven its ability to scale in many large implementations around the world. It is compatible with Cassandra, HBase, and many other distributed data stores.

Development has been moving quickly and there are many new features soon to appear. There is no one better suited to present an overview than Matthias Broecheler, the head of the Titan database project.

About the speaker

Matthias Broecheler (http://www.matthiasb.com/) @MBroecheler (https://twitter.com/MBroecheler), a core member of the Aurelius (http://thinkaurelius.com/) team, has researched large scale graph database systems for more than 5 years. Matthias is best known as lead developer of the Titan (http://thinkaurelius.github.com/titan/) distributed graph database. His award-winning work includes high performance index structures and query answering algorithms for graph structured data. Matthias also developed the Probabilistic Similarity Logic (PSL) machine learning framework to analyze and reason about multi-relational data. Matthias holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland.
