Roadmap to Bootstrap: How to get from idea to launch

Hey Crew!

It's been a great year of coffee meetings and discussions and case studies. As 2012 draws to a close, so does this chapter of the Bootstrappers' Meetup. I have some conflicting commitments on the table in January, but will be looking to organize the occasional event to keep the bootstrapped vision alive.

But before we wrap up our weekly meetings, there are 2 more topics I want to cover. The first is how lay out a plan to get to the next launch. Whether your next milestone is beta, 1.0 or even just a feature release, having a roadmap to getting there can make it a lot smoother.

I'll share a favorite technique for laying out the tasks ahead and staying focused, and show you an example roadmap to a bootstrapped launch.

Come join us at The Hub, upstairs in the Glass Room!

    Hey gang!
We had a good number of RSVPs, but not so good turn out. I'm trying to troubleshoot what happened, so please let me know if:
    1. you had trouble finding the building?
    2. you had trouble finding the group?
    3. the time turned out to not work?
    4. your plans changed?
    5. your "yes" rsvp was really a "maybe"?

You can let me know here through or just send a quick note to [masked].

Thank you for your help! I want to try to work out any issues before the next meeting. Much appreciated!

What's the meetup location? The address field is just populated with a date. Hopefully I can make it, this is a favorite topic of mine!

I think we should limit the 'intros' for everyone to be no longer than 1 minute. I'm not big on being structured, but I think it'd be helpful to make sure we have time to cover topics of the week :)

Thanks, Joe. Good feedback. We will do just that over the next 2 weeks. Last few meetings, there hasn't been much of an agenda, so we could let the conversation flow. The final 2 meetings will have more organized content, and therefore a bit more structure. :]

      Hope things are going well!
