Jump Start Into Apache Spark with Denny Lee

Denny Lee (https://www.linkedin.com/in/dennyglee), Technology Evangelist with Databricks, will demonstrate how easily many Data Sciences and Big Data (and many not-so-Big Data) scenarios easily using Apache Spark. This introductory level jump start will focus on user scenarios; it will be demo heavy and slide light!

Exploring Wikipedia with Apache Spark with ScalaJust in Time Data Warehousing with Spark SQLSimplified Machine Learning with Python and SparkNote, we will not be focusing on Spark R for this session, but this is because we will have a special joint Seattle R Users Group / Seattle Spark Meetup session in February.

In addition, we will also have a quick drill down into What's New with Spark 1.6. There will be time for Q&A and discussion so loop on by to Galvanize Seattle offices for what is sure to be fun session!
