Seattle Legal Hackers,

We are beyond pleased to welcome Jordan Furlong as the speaker for our February event.

Here's Jordan's bio: Jordan Furlong is a lawyer, consultant, and legal industry analyst who forecasts the impact of the changing legal market on lawyers, clients, and legal organizations. He has delivered dozens of addresses to law firms, state bars, law societies, law schools, judges, and many others throughout the United States and Canada on the evolution of the legal services market. A principal with global consulting firm Edge International and a Fellow of the College of Law Practice Management, Jordan is the author of Evolutionary Road: A Strategic Guide to Your Law Firm’s Future (Attorney At Work) and co-author of Content Marketing and Publishing Strategies for Law Firms (The Ark Group). He also serves as Legal Innovation Strategist in Residence at Suffolk University Law School in Boston. Jordan lives in Ottawa, Canada, and writes at Law21.

Here is a link to his eBook, Evolutionary Road: A Strategic Guide to Your Law Firm’s Future: http://www.attorneyatwork.com/law-practice-books/careers-books/evolutionary-road-2/ which I’ve read and found absolutely compelling.
Please let us know if you are interested in getting a copy of Evolutionary Road. Jordan indicated that if we have enough demand we may be able to negotiate a bulk rate.

He also writes at Law21: http://www.law21.ca/

Beyond that, I can personally say that Jordan is one of my favorite thought leaders in the legal industry. While I read and respect a great deal of what others in the “future of law” space write and say, I agree with and find compelling just about everything that Jordan puts out. He combines a mix of tech, management, marketing, and analysis to present a fascinating picture of the future of law.

We’re also pleased to welcome Clio as a sponsor of the February meeting. Big thanks to them for helping us get Jordan on our calendar and for providing food and beverages. We’ll also hear a bit from them at the event.

Finally, thanks again to the Washington State Bar Association for playing host to us. They will host both our January and February meetings. They are outstanding partners for our group.

There is already a great deal of demand for this event, so RSVP soon.

We look forward to seeing you!

Best,
Dan and Janelle
