Real Time - Real Talk presented by Erin Shellman of Nordstrom Data Labs

Back by popular request is Nordstrom Data Labs! Jason's talk was very popular and they have a lot of great stuff to share. This time, Erin Shellman, will be the presenter.

She is one smart lady, with a PhD in Bioinformatics and a Masters in Biostatistics from University of Michigan.

She is presenting at several upcoming conferences in Canada and the US, including the Big Data Conference February 24-25th in New Brunswick.

Her presentation for us will focus on real-time touching on the history of real-time, current trends, and then a bit on how Nordstrom uses real-time data.

How she describes herself on LinkedIn: I am a data scientist in the Nordstrom Data Lab and a specialist in statistical analysis and computing. I am interested in the development of scalable machine learning methods with applications in recommendation systems, market segmentation and customer engagement. I have a master of science degree in biostatistics and a PhD in Bioinformatics, both from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
