Node.js in Production & Lightning Talks

Details
The Seattle Node.js Meetup group is kicking things into gear with our next event, scheduled for Wednesday, May 8 and hosted downtown at the SURF Incubator (http://www.surfincubator.com/location/). We’ll have pizza, beers, talks, and lightning talks to get you socializing, listening, and talking about all things Node.js.
We’re also launching a new group website at http://seanode.github.io/ , hosted at our GitHub repository (https://github.com/seanode/seanode.github.io), for additional articles, posts, and information from the local Node.js community. And, we’ve started a new Twitter account, @seattlenode (https://twitter.com/seattlenode), which we hope you’ll follow.
Agenda
6:30 - 7:00pm: Start with pizza and beer, courtesy of MovingWorlds. 7:00pm - 7:30pm: Ryan Roemer (http://loose-bits.com/) will present a talk on "Node.js in Production". Ryan will discuss the good, the bad, and the ugly technical details of running Node.js services for the world’s largest Spanish learning website, SpanishDict.com (http://www.spanishdict.com/). 7:30pm - on: We will turn the rest of our time over to the group for a series of lightning talks. Please bring your ideas and projects to share with the group! Venue
The SURF Incubator (http://www.surfincubator.com) is in the Exchange building at: 821 Second Ave., Seattle, WA 98104. Updated Note - the event will be held on the 8th floor (we temporarily changed this, but we're back to the original now) in SURF's office.
See SURF's location page (http://www.surfincubator.com/location/) for additional details. The Exchange building closes at 6:00pm, so we will have meetup members helping out to get you inside for the presentations. Please message the meetup page or email seattlenode@gmail.com if you are having any difficulties getting in.
