When and how did you become aware that you're an HSP? And how did you learn about our group?

Oh, I've known for twenty years or so. It's not hard to see, especially since work in high tech enterprises usually provides a good foil for the HSP personality.

Have you read any of Elaine Aron's books about the HSP trait? Which ones?

Nope. Probably won't either, not for a while. (I just have a mountain of other things to read. Reading about myself is lower on the list.)

How have you experienced being an HSP? Please share a couple of examples of how being Highly Sensitive affects your life.

1. Success in big business often goes to the Judgers, where commando-style decisions are often prized over introspection. (I couldn't make a snap judgment if you paid me. Literally.) 2. When others talk, it's like the conversation is a Magic Lantern for another real world of images beyond.

What sort of activities do you enjoy? Besides just "meeting to talk," what sort of activities (if any) would you enjoy, as part of an HSP meetup group?

Art museums, art walks, I suppose. History, archaeology, geology.

What do you hope to get from your membership in our HSP meetup? (i.e. friendship, activity partners, support, networking, etc)

Meet other people who have learned how to engage their well-developed emotional connections to the world.

Married, father of three. Past lives include archaeologist and Latin teacher. Currently working in high-tech Information Management.
